About

My name is Brigette Ramirez and I'm a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia majoring in public relations and Spanish with a minor in business and certificates in sports media and personal and organizational leadership.

In my public relations and sports media courses, I've developed a strong foundation for my career in sports media through assignments centered around writing and reporting, social media and public relations.

I’ve worked for the UGA Athletic Association as a sports communications student assistant for the past three years where I’ve had the opportunity to gain professional experience working in the sports media industry. With UGA Athletics, I facilitate game day operations and media availabilities for the football, baseball, women’s basketball, tennis and equestrian teams. I also serve as the social media coordinator for the women's basketball team and create written content for the UGA Athletics website, georgiadogs.com.

Outside of UGA Athletics, I've worked as a communications game day staff member for the Atlanta Falcons for the last two years. In this role, I support the Falcons Communications Staff at all home games through checking in members of the media, compiling and distributing stats and game books to the Falcons and visiting team communications staff and recording and transcribing player and coach interviews during post-game press conferences and locker room media availabilities.

I spent the summer in Dallas, Texas, working as a public relations and marketing intern for Outlyr, a global leader in sports and entertainment that specializes in event management and sponsorship consulting. Through this role, I had the opportunity to coordinate media center operations onsite at professional golf tournaments including the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give and the Dow Championship. I also remotely supported media operations for The Ascendant presented by Blue, a stop on the Korn Ferry Tour, and LPGA tournaments the Kroger Queen City Championship and Walmart NWA Championship.

The previous two summers, I had the opportunity to develop as a sports media professional through roles with the Los Angeles Dodgers and USA Baseball.

After graduating from UGA in May 2026, I aspire to work professionally in the sports media industry and turn my passion for sports and storytelling into a career.
